Information we collect and hold

Depending on how you use Long Game Fantasy, we may handle:

• Google account information used for sign-in, including your verified email address and basic profile information;
• your Long Game Player Name and account details;
• Competition membership, roles, Club and Manager participation, Team selections and other fantasy Competition activity;
• Draft activity, Free Agency submissions and bids, Trade proposals and negotiations, and Commissioner or administrator actions;
• official results, Competition History, scoring and financial records, records of Trades and other Competition changes, and records of authorised actions; and
• communications, delivery records, and essential session, security and service information created while Long Game Fantasy operates.

Competition enquiries

When you express interest in running a comp, we keep your name, contact email and any optional details you provide so authorised Platform Managers can respond. Your original enquiry and follow-up history are kept privately. New-enquiry email alerts do not include your submitted details.

Submitting interest does not create a Competition, sign-in account or invitation, and does not add you to a marketing mailing list. We confirm the intended Commissioner and sign-in details separately before Competition setup.

Google sign-in

Google authenticates you and supplies the account identifier, verified email address and basic profile information needed for sign-in. Long Game Fantasy links that authenticated identity to your Long Game account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to unrelated Google account content.

Your confirmed Long Game Player Name is managed in Long Game Fantasy. It is separate from your Google profile name and is used as your identity across the Competitions you join.

How we collect information

We collect information:

• when you sign in, complete your profile or use Long Game Fantasy;
• when you submit a Team, bid, Trade or other Competition action;
• when an authorised Commissioner, administrator or participant performs an action or provides information needed for Competition access;
• automatically through essential session, security and service infrastructure; and
• through providers involved in authentication, hosting, data storage or email delivery.

How we use and disclose information

We use information to:

• authenticate users and provide and secure Long Game Fantasy;
• manage Competition membership, roles and permissions;
• operate fantasy Competitions, apply their configured rules and run automated Competition processes;
• calculate and publish appropriate Competition outcomes;
• send relevant account or Competition communications;
• preserve Competition History and records of authorised actions;
• investigate errors, security issues and service problems; and
• maintain and improve the reliability of the product.

We disclose information to authorised users according to their Competition and Platform roles, and to service providers where needed to operate Long Game Fantasy.

Public information and Competition information

Long Game Fantasy includes deliberately public product information and information that belongs to fantasy Competitions. Public product information may include approved Shared NRL facts such as NRL Players, matches and Fantasy Player scores. An NRL Player record is separate from the identity of a person who uses Long Game Fantasy.

Competition information is available according to a person's authorised Competition access and role. Publishing a result within a Competition does not make it available to the general public. Some information has narrower visibility within a Competition, including private Free Agency bids before publication, Trade negotiations, administrative or financial information, and other Manager-private submissions.

Cookies and technical information

Long Game Fantasy uses essential cookies to support sign-in, protect your session and remember your chosen Competition. The current product does not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Service infrastructure also creates technical information needed to run, secure and troubleshoot the application.

Service providers and overseas processing

Long Game Fantasy uses third-party providers for services such as Google authentication and email delivery, application hosting and data storage. These providers may process or store information outside Australia, depending on their infrastructure and service configuration.

Keeping information

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain accurate Competition records, preserve historical results and records of authorised actions, and meet security, operational or legal requirements.

Competition History, scoring and result records, financial records, records of Trades and other Competition changes, and Commissioner or administrator actions may be kept for the long term. Leaving a Competition or stopping use of Long Game Fantasy does not automatically remove those records.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to access or correct personal information associated with you. You can confirm your Player Name through Profile when it is first set. Later Player Name changes use the supported Platform administrator correction process. Ask your Competition Commissioner or administrator for help requesting access to, or correction of, other personal information.

If information forms part of an official result, Competition History, audit trail, Trade, financial record or other record that needs to be kept, a correction may be recorded without deleting or rewriting the original record.

Privacy questions and complaints

If you are a current Competition user, raise a privacy question, access or correction request, or complaint through your Competition Commissioner or administrator. If you have not yet joined, raise it with the person or organisation that invited you to use Long Game Fantasy. The concern will be reviewed and a response provided.

Changes to this statement

We may update this statement as Long Game Fantasy changes. The date above will be updated when material changes are made.
